This is a photo of George O'Brien from the silent film "Sunrise." I had previously used a picture from the actress who played the wife character from the same film in an album cover, and decided to do the same with the husband. I originally wanted his entire face in the shot, but I couldn't save the picture file since it was in the wrong format. So I took a screen cap of the picture which cut off the bottom of his face and I was going to take a screen cap of the bottom and piece the two shots together but when I saw how striking it looked with just the top of his head I decided to forget about the bottom part. The album it's a cover for is all very dark music with all kinds of Twilight Zone references, so to get a shot of somebody looking so terrified in such a dark setting (which I manipulated to make look even darker) was perfect.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
